Curran Public School was established in 1975. It has built a proud tradition of striving for learning improvements in all Key Learning Areas in a supportive environment in which we, as a whole community, are “Learning to Learn”. Curran also fosters community involvement, cultural and sporting achievements. Most importantly,Curran equips all students with strategies to actively pursue their learning to achieve their potential, develop positive relationships and contribute positively to society.
Our students are supported by well-qualified and dedicated teachers who constantly update their skills through a program of professional development activities. Children are also supported by the school counsellor, office staff and teachers aides.
In addition to our mainstream classes, Curran currently has one class for students with moderate intellectual disability and three Autism classes.
Attached to Curran is a Schools as Community Centre, which provides a wide range of services and activities for families with children from birth to eight years. The centre promotes healthy and happy children and encourages strong links between families, school and the community.
